This site was
developed in order to provide information to other pointing dog trainers, members or non-members and to the general public about our
training facilities and member trainers of non-specific pointing dog breeds.
Founded in 1988 by a
group of individuals who met on a weekly basis at a dog trainers' home, to learn finer points on enhancing their pointing dog's performance.
In 1992, we were incorporated as Penn's Woods Pointing Dog Trainers, Inc.
As a charitable
non-profit organization, our goal is to both obtain and manage training areas for both membership and public use by raising funds in order
to purchase or lease property. We are located in Pittsburgh, PA. area and affiliated with the American
Kennel Club.
Membership
and Meetings...
There are many other pointing breeds we would like to include in our club. We
hold our meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. Since the training
season is over, our meetings are held at the West Penn Sportsman's Club in
Murrysville, PA. Please
